The Washington Wizards and the Golden State Warriors do battle at the Chase Center on Monday night.

The Washington Wizards are starting to heat up again as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be gunning for a third straight victory after blowing past the Pacers in a 127-113 win on Saturday. Bradley Beal led the team with 32 points and six assists, Kristaps Porzingis and Monte Morris each scored 17 points while Corey Kispert chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Wizards shot a sizzling 64 percent from the field and 12 of 26 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early and exploded for 80 points in the first half to take a 23-point lead into halftime which allowed them to cruise in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after coming up short against the Lakers in a 109-103 loss on Saturday. Jordan Poole led the team with 29 points and six assists on 11 of 25 shooting, Klay Thompson added 15 points on just five of 21 shooting while Draymond Green tallied 12 points with seven rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Warriors shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 44 from the 3-point line as they fell in love with the outside shot early and missed a bunch of open shots to give the Lakers the lead, before they made a run in the fourth quarter which was all too late in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 23-9-1 ATS in their last 33 games following a win of more than 10 points and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Warriors are 2-7 ATS in their last nine home games, 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall and the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Golden State.

The Wizards could be shorthanded again as Kyle Kuzma is listed as questionable, while the Warriors are still missing Stephen Curry and they are keeping an eye on Andrew Wiggins who is questionable due to a sprained right ankle. The Wizards are building some momentum once again and they would’ve taken plenty of confidence from their dominant win over the lowly Pacers on Saturday where they shot 64 percent from the field, but I can’t see them repeating that effort against the Warriors who will surely come out firing after losing at home in their last outing. Thompson had a stinker of a game on Saturday, so I expect him to bounce back with a big game to lead the Warriors to a much-needed victory.
