The Golden State Warriors pay a visit to the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Monday night.

The Golden State Warriors have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost six of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a three-game skid after getting thrashed by the Grizzlies in a 133-119 road loss on Saturday. Jonathan Kuminga led the team with 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Jordan Poole added 21 points off the bench while Stephen Curry chipped in with 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Warriors shot just 42 percent from the field and 13 of 35 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 41 points in the third quarter to cut a 12-point halftime deficit to just four points, only to get blown out in the fourth quarter where they could only manage 19 points.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won five of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after coming up short against the Pelicans in a 117-107 loss last night. Jalen Green led the team with 20 points on 11 of 22 shooting, Kevin Porter Jr. added 25 points while Tari Eason chipped in with 10 points off the bench, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Rockets shot just 40 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and managed just 16 points in the second quarter to fall behind by as many as 20 points before they made a run in the second half to keep the final scores respectable.

Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 15-36-1 ATS in their last 52 road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss of more than 10 points and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Rockets are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five home games, 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the under is 13-6-1 in the last 20 meetings in Houston and the Warriors are 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.

The Warriors are shorthanded again as Andrew Wiggins is still out and Kevon Looney is listed as questionable, while the Rockets don’t have a single player listed on the injury report. The Warriors are mired in their worst slump of the season and they could easily find themselves behind big early if they decide to look past these young Rockets who have shown glimpses of their potential over the last nine games or so. The Warriors are 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and they should have no problem getting the win, but they’ve lost 11 straight road games, so I think the Rockets can hang around and keep this one to single points.
