The Sacramento Kings and the Houston Rockets collide at the Toyota Center on Monday night.

The Sacramento Kings have been in a it of a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting thrashed by the Pelicans in a 136-104 road loss last night. Malik Monk led the team in scoring with 16 points off the bench, Domantas Sabonis added just 12 points with 11 rebounds and three assists while Kevin Huerter chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Kings shot just 42 percent from the field and 11 of 42 from the 3-point line as they allowed the Pelicans to let loose with 70 points in the first half and things only got worse as the game wore on with the Kings getting outscored in every quarter. Keegan Murray had a night to forget as he finished with just two points on one of seven shooting.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in poor form as they’ve lost four of their last six games and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting scorched by the Thunder in a 153-121 road loss on Saturday. Joshua Christopher led the team in scoring with 20 points, Tyty Washington added 20 points on nine of 16 shooting while Alperen Sengun chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 50 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line, but they had no way of containing the Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and they were always in deep trouble after allowing 123 points in the first three quarters.

Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record and 25-10 ATS in their last 35 games against a team below .400. The Rockets are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games following a loss and 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall, the Kings are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Houston and the Kings are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Kings could again be without De’Aaron Fox who is listed as day to day, while the Rockets are keeping an eye on Garrison Matthews who is questionable due to left big toe soreness. The Kings been anything but consistent lately and their 32-point loss to the Pelicans doesn’t do much for their confidence, but now they’re facing the young Rockets who just allowed 153 points in their loss to the Thunder on Saturday. You couldn’t back either team with much confidence at the moment, but there’s just a little more reason for optimism when it comes to the Kings who are 25-10 ATS in their last 35 games against a team below .400. The Kings are also 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall, so I’ll back the Kings at the reasonable line.
