The Philadelphia 76ers and the Phoenix Suns collide at the Footprint Center on Saturday night.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been in fine form as they’ve won nine of their last 11 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after coming up short against the Warriors in a 120-112 loss last night. Joel Embiid led the team with 46 points, nine rebounds and eight assists on 13 of 23 shooting, Tobias Harris added 23 points on 10 of 12 shooting while Tyrese Maxey chipped in with 21 points and five assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 48 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they exploded for 35 points in the third quarter to build an 11-point lead, only to get blown away in the fourth quarter where they allowed the Warriors to pour in 41 points.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in a terrible slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to a three-game skid after getting beaten by the Kings in a 135-127 road loss last night. Devin Booker led the team with 32 points, eight rebounds and five assists on 10 of 16 shooting, Terrence Ross added 30 points on 11 of 16 shooting off the bench while Chris Paul tallied 15 points with 13 assists. As a team, the Suns shot 53 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line as they looked to have everything under control when they poured in 67 points in the first half to build a 14-point lead, only to see it all go down the drain in the third quarter where they allowed the Kings to pour in 45 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games, 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games playing on zero days rest and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Suns are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six home games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600 and 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the over is 15-5-1 in the last 21 meetings overall, the 76ers are 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the 76ers are 6-14 ATS in the last 20 meetings in Phoenix.

The 76ers are shorthanded again as James Harden and Jalen McDaniels are both out, while the Suns are still missing Kevin Durant and DeAndre Ayton. Both teams lost last night, but it has clearly been the 76ers who are the team in better form in this matchup. The Suns haven’t been able to build any momentum despite big games from Booker and I think we’re going to see that again as the deeper 76ers get the win on the road thanks to another monster game from Embiid.
