The Denver Nuggets pay a visit to the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Arena on Friday night.

The Denver Nuggets have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after having their four-game win streak halted by the Bulls in a 117-96 loss on Wednesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 18 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, Aaron Gordon added 17 points with nine rebounds while Michael Porter Jr chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot just 42 percent from the field and 15 of 40 from the 3-point line as they got off to a decent start to take the lead into halftime, only to get blown out by 66-44 in the second half to suffer one of their worst defeats of the season.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been ice-cold lately as they’ve lost 18 of their last 20 games overall and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting routed by the Rockets in a 142-110 road loss on Sunday. Keita Bates-Diop led the team with 17 points on six of 10 shooting, Charles Bassey and Devonte Graham each scored 14 points while Devin Vassell chipped in with 13 points and five assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and leaked 38 points in the first quarter to fall behind by double digits right away and they just couldn’t stop the bleeding as the Rockets ran riot the entire game.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team below .400 and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Spurs are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600 and 5-18 ATS in their last 23 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-1 in the last eight meetings in San Antonio and the Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Nuggets were rolling through teams before they laid an egg in the second half against the Bulls on Wednesday, but we’ve seen many times this season that they just bounce right back into another win streak. The Spurs are healthier than they’ve been in a while with Johnson and Vassell back in the lineup, but they just got demolished by the lowly Rockets, so it’s hard to feel too optimistic about this one. The Spurs are just 1-5 ATS in their last six home games, so I’ll back the Nuggets to take care of business in this spot.
