The Philadelphia 76ers and the San Antonio Spurs collide at the AT&T Center on Friday night.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been on fire as they’ve won eight of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Magic in a 105-94 home win on Wednesday. Joel Embiid led the team with 28 points, 11 rebounds and three assists, James Harden added 26 points with nine rebounds and 10 assists while Tobias Harris chipped in with 16 points and five assists on seven of 10 shooting. As a team, the 76ers shot just 43 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 37 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they held the Magic to just 16 points in the fourth quarter to exact their revenge after falling to the Magic just a couple nights prior.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 15 of their last 17 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a seven-game slide after falling short to the Kings in a 119-109 loss on Wednesday. Malaki Branham led the team in scoring with 22 points on nine of 13 shooting off the bench, Josh Richardson added 19 points while Keldon Johnson and Jakob Poeltl each scored 18 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 54 percent from the field and eight of 24 from the 3-point line as they struggled to match the Kings in the first half and fell behind early, but they stayed in the contest and kept it close until the fourth quarter where the Kings poured in 30 points to pull away late.

Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a win of more than 10 points and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Spurs are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games. 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600 and 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in San Antonio.

The 76ers are keeping an eye on Joel Embiid who is listed as questionable due to left foot soreness, while the Spurs are again missing Tre Jones, Romeo Langford, Jeremy Sochan and Devin Vassell. The 76ers are clearly the team in better form in this matchup and they really shouldn’t have any trouble beating the Spurs whether Embiid plays or not. The line is quite hefty for this one, but the Spurs are just too banged up at the moment to hold off the 76ers in this spot.
