The Sacramento Kings and the San Antonio Spurs do battle at the AT&T Center on Wednesday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after outlasting the Timberwolves in a 118-111 overtime road win on Monday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 32 points on 13 of 27 shooting, Malik Monk added 19 points off the bench while Domantas Sabonis tallied 17 points with 13 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line as they missed their chance to close out the game in regulation, but they didn’t panic and held the Timberwolves to just eight points in overtime to slip away with the narrow win in the end.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in terrible form as they’ve lost 14 of their last 16 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a six-game slide after getting thrashed by the Wizards in a 127-106 loss on Monday. Keldon Johnson led the team with 26 points on 12 of 21 shooting, Jeremy Sochan added 17 points and five assists while Zach Collins chipped in with 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot 43 percent from the field and seven of 29 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 36 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, but it didn’t last as they couldn’t hang onto the lead as they managed just 19 points in the second and fourth quarters to fall well short in the end.
