The San Antonio Spurs travel to the Vivint Arena to do battle with the Utah Jazz on Saturday night.

The San Antonio Spurs are in terrible form as they’ve lost 20 of their last 21 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to a 15-game losing streak after getting thrashed by the Mavericks in a 142-116 road loss on Thursday. Malaki Branham led the team with 23 points on nine of 17 shooting, Keldon Johnson added 22 points with eight rebounds and seven assists while Zach Collins chipped in with 13 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 52 percent from the field and 10 of 25 from the 3-point line, but they really let themselves down on the defensive end, particularly in the fourth quarter where they leaked 43 points to get absolutely blown out in the end.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in fair shape as they’ve split their last 10 games overall and they will be eager to build some momentum after outlasting the Thunder in a 120-119 overtime win on Thursday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 43 points on 15 of 28 shooting, Jordan Clarkson added 24 points with six assists while Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Jazz shot just 42 percent from the field and 13 of 48 from the 3-point line while committing 21 turnovers, but they hung in the contest right till the end where they stole the game on clutch free throws from Markkanen with just 4.1 seconds left on the clock.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 road games, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a loss of more than 10 points and 3-15 ATS in their last 18 games overall. The Jazz are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four home games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 3-0-2 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 15-7 in the last 22 meetings overall, the Spurs are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Utah and the Spurs are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Spurs are going to be shorthanded once again as Khem Birch, Isaiah Roby, Devin Vassell, Romeo Langford and Tre Jones are all out, while the Jazz are keeping eyes on Rudy Gay and Kelly Olynyk who are both questionable. The Spurs have been in a world of hurt lately and the injuries really haven’t helped their cause, so while the Jazz are still below their best, I think they can build some momentum with a win and cover here.
