The New York Knicks and Boston Celtics meet Tuesday in NBA preseason action at the TD Garden. Let’s preview this game and give out a pick and prediction.

Boston Celtics Betting Preview

The Boston Celtics look for a win to get off to a 3-1 preseason start. The Celtics have split their last 10 preseason games. The Boston Celtics are averaging 111 points on 44.4 percent shooting and allowing 107 points on 43 percent shooting. Payton Pritchard is averaging 21.3 points and 2 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown is averaging 19 points and 1 assist. The Boston Celtics are shooting 32.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.3 percent from the free throw line. The Boston Celtics are allowing 33.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 48.7 rebounds per game.

Randy’s Pick

The Boston Celtics should be favored in this spot, especially at home, but this is a lot of points to lay in a preseason game. I’m not interested in laying more than four or so points in most games. The New York Knicks also beat the Celtics last week, in a game they held Boston under 43 percent shooting and forced 17 turnovers. This is a ton of points and I have to lean Knicks if getting involved in this contest.
