Brooklyn Nets vs Detroit Pistons Prediction 12-23-23 NBA Picks

The Detroit Pistons pay a visit to the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Saturday night. Here’s a Pistons vs Nets Prediction.

Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons’ nightmare continues as they are now owners of a 25-game losing streak after falling short to the Jazz in a 119-111 loss on Thursday. Cade Cunningham led the team with 28 points and 10 assists on 10 of 22 shooting, Jaden Ivey added 24 points with seven assists while Marvin Bagley chipped in with 22 points on 10 of 12 shooting. As a team, the Pistons shot 50 percent from the field and nine of 31 from the 3-point line as they cut an early 13-point deficit to single digits and trailed by just two points late in the fourth quarter before the Jazz closed the final 3:27 on a 13-7 run to extend the Pistons’ losing streak.

Brooklyn Nets

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a slump of their own as they’ve lost six of their last seven games and they will be hoping to put an end to a five-game slide after getting beaten by the Nuggets in a 122-117 loss last night. Cam Thomas led the team with 23 points, Cam Johnson added 17 points while Mikal Bridges and Dorian Finney-Smith scored 14 points each. As a team, the Nets shot 48 percent from the field and 13 of 33 from the 3-point line as they worked their way to a five-point lead in the third quarter, before the Nuggets went on a pivotal 22-10 run to get back in front for good.

Pistons vs Nets Prediction

The Pistons are still missing Jalen Duren and Monte Morris, while the Nets are still without Ben Simmons and Lonnie Walker. The Pistons are now fighting to avoid matching a NBA record 26th straight loss in this one, but they won’t be getting any sympathy from the Nets who have also been struggling with just one win in their past seven games. The Pistons obviously open as the underdogs here, but the Nets have been in poor form and they are playing this one on zero days’ rest, so I’ll actually take the Pistons with the points in a game that could be closer than it should be.
