As a team, the Rockets shot just 42 percent from the field and 14 of 41 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Heat in a closely contested first half, before they fell victim to a surge from the Heat in the third quarter to put them behind by 15 points. Jabari Smith Jr had a rough night as he shot just three of 13 from the field and one of five from the 3-point line while Jalen Green shot just two of 10 from the field.

Coby White led the team with 27 points, six rebounds and five assists, Andre Drummond tallied 21 points with 15 rebounds, Nikola Vucevic tallied 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists while DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 18 points and seven assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 26 from the 3-point line as they squandered an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter to allow the Hornets to force overtime, but they kept their heads and won it in overtime to improve to 17-21 on the season and 5-12 on the road.

The Rockets will be disappointed with their loss to the Heat on Monday as they were coming fresh off a win over the Bucks, while the Bulls have continued their rise with a thrilling overtime win over the Hornets. I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if the Rockets pulled off the minor upset on the road, but the Bulls have been the more consistent and reliable team lately and I think they get the job done once again at home where they are 12-9 so far.
