Dallas Mavericks vs Detroit Pistons Prediction 4-12-24 Picks

The Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks meet Friday in NBA action at the American Airlines Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Pistons vs Mavericks prediction.

Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have been ice-cold as they’ve lost 14 of their last 15 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to a six-game slide after getting thrashed by the Bulls in a 127-105 loss last night. Jalen Duren led the team with 20 points, 11 rebounds and three assists on seven of nine shooting, Marcus Sasser added 20 points while Jaden Ivey chipped in with 16 points and six assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the 3-point line as they did their best to stay within striking distance until the third quarter where the Bulls poured in 35 points to run away with it.

Dallas Mavericks

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been on fire as they’ve won 12 of their last 13 games overall and they will be gunning for a sixth straight win after routing the Heat in a 111-92 road win on Wednesday. Luka Doncic led the team with 29 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, Kyrie Irving added 25 points on 10 of 15 shooting while Daniel Gafford chipped in with 12 points on six of six shooting. As a team, the Mavericks shot 49 percent from the field and 15 of 44 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 69 points in the first half to take the early lead, before they played great defense to restrict the Heat to just 18 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout.

Pistons vs Mavericks prediction

The Pistons are still missing six players, including Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart, while the Mavericks have ruled out Kyrie Irving, and they have Luka Doncic listed as questionable. This is certainly a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff, but even if the Mavericks are missing their top two players, they still have more than enough firepower to get past this banged up Pistons squad. The Pistons have nothing to play for at this stage of the season, so I’m sticking with the red-hot Mavericks at the big line.
