Dallas Mavericks vs Utah Jazz Prediction 3-21-24 Picks

The Utah Jazz and Dallas Mavericks meet Thursday in NBA action at the American Airlines Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Jazz vs Mavericks prediction.

Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz have been in a real slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting beaten by the Thunder in a 119-107 loss last night. Collin Sexton led the team with 25 points and seven assists on 12 of 19 shooting, John Collins added 16 points while Taylor Hendricks chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Jazz shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 36 from the 3-point line as they played great defense early on to take the narrow lead into halftime, but once again they let their hard work go to waste in the fourth quarter where they allowed 37 points to lose by double digits. The Jazz will play against the Rockets after this game.

Dallas Mavericks

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks are starting to really heat up again as they’ve reeled off six wins in their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after outlasting the Spurs in a 113-107 road win on Tuesday. Kyrie Irving led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds and three assists, Luke Doncic racked up a triple-double of 18 points with 10 rebounds and 16 assists while Dante Exum chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 38 points in the first quarter, but it wasn’t an easy win at all as the Mavericks didn’t really look to be in control until they closed the final 4:46 on a 16-8 run to come away with the narrow road win in the end. The Mavs will meet the Kings after this back-to-back set against the Jazz.

Jazz vs Mavericks prediction

The Jazz are still missing Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen, while the Mavericks are still without Brandon Williams and Josh Green. The Jazz have been mired in their worst slump of the season, they are still missing two of their best players and they are playing this one on zero days rest, so I’m definitely more keen on the Mavericks who are playing their best basketball of the season at just the right time. The line is certainly hefty, but it’s either the Mavericks or nothing for me as the Jazz are just terrible right now.
