Denver Nuggets vs Houston Rockets Prediction 12-8-23 NBA Picks

The Houston Rockets pay a visit to the Denver Nuggets at the Ball Arena on Friday night. Here’s a Rockets vs Nuggets Prediction.

Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have been in a rut as they’ve lost six of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to get something going after snapping a three-game skid with a 110-101 win over the Thunder on Wednesday. Dillon Brooks led the team with 23 points on nine of 17 shooting, Aaron Holiday added 22 points off the bench while Alperen Sengun chipped in with 21 points and seven assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 33 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Thunder in the first quarter to take the early lead and they just kept building until the lead ballooned to 17 points. It certainly wasn’t pretty as the Rockets finished with 19 turnovers, but they withstood a rally from the Thunder and pulled away late to improve to an impressive 9-1 at home this season.

Denver Nuggets

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in decent shape as they”ve won five of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the Clippers in a 111-102 road loss on Wednesday. Jamal Murray led the team with 23 points and six assists, Nikola Jokic racked up a triple-double of 22 points with 15 rebounds and 10 assists while Michael Porter Jr tallied 18 points with nine rebounds. As a team, the Nuggets shot just 41 percent from the field and 12 of 31 from the 3-point line as they shot out to an early 15-point lead, only to see it all disappear in the second quarter where they allowed 40 points. Still, the Nuggets worked their way back into the lead, only to see the Clippers finish strong and snatch the game away in the end.

Rockets vs Nuggets Prediction

The Rockets are still missing a couple players with Jock Landale and Victor Oladipo still out, while the Nuggets are coming into this one with a full roster. The Rockets came to life with an impressive win over the Thunder in their last outing, but they’ve lost all eight of their road games, while the Nuggets have won all nine of their home games. The Nuggets will be disappointed with their last two losses, but I think they bounce back into form with a big win at home in this one.
