Denver Nuggets vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction 12-28-23 NBA Picks

The Memphis Grizzlies pay a visit to the Denver Nuggets at the Ball Arena on Thursday night. Here’s a Grizzlies vs Nuggets Prediction.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have looked like a different team since the return of Ja Morant as they are now gunning for a fifth straight victory after outlasting the Pelicans in a 116-115 overtime road win on Tuesday. Ja Morant led the team with 31 points and seven assists on 12 of 24 shooting, Desmond Bane added 27 points and seven assists while Jaren Jackson Jr chipped in with 19 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 46 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep pace with the Pelicans for most of the contest, before they rallied back from a 15-point deficit to snatch the win in overtime.

Denver Nuggets

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last nine games overall and they will be keen to build on their current five-game win streak after sneaking past the Warriors in a 120-114 home win on Monday. Jamal Murray led the team in scoring with 28 points, Nikola Jokic added 26 points with 14 rebounds and eight assists while Michael Porter Jr. chipped in with 19 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they traded with the Warriors in a close contest, until they went on a decisive 26-13 run in the fourth quarter to earn the win and improve to 12-2 at home this season.

Grizzlies vs Nuggets Prediction

The Grizzlies are still missing Derrick Rose, and they have Ja Morant listed as questionable due to an illness, while the Nuggets are without Aaron Gordon who remains without a timetable for his return. We’re in for a good contest here as both teams are coming into this meeting with plenty of winning momentum, but a lot will ride on the availability of Morant for this matchup. The Nuggets are the healthier, more consistent team, and they are a dominant 12-2 at home this season, so I’ll lean towards the Nuggets in this spot.
