The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Chase Center to battle the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. Here’s a Nets vs Warriors prediction.
Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back here after getting thrashed by the Nuggets in a 124-101 road loss on Thursday. Spencer Dinwiddie led the team with 17 points and eight assists, Cam Thomas added 13 points, while Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton scored just 10 points each. As a team, the Nets shot just 41 percent from the field and eight of 30 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and scored just 17 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 14 points going into halftime and things only got worse in the second half where they fell behind by as many as 28 points.

- The Nets have covered the spread in 10 of their last 11 games following a loss.
- Each of the Nets’ last four road games against the Warriors following a road loss have gone UNDER the total points line.
Golden State Warriors
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been in a rut as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall, and they will be hoping to put an end to a three-game skid after falling short to the Clippers in a 121-113 road loss on Thursday. Klay Thompson led the team with 30 points and five assists on nine of 15 shooting, Stephen Curry added 17 points while Jonathan Kuminga chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 43 percent from the field and 16 of 45 from the 3-point line, but they were always playing from behind after allowing the Clippers to explode for 40 points in the second quarter. Chris Paul had a quiet game of just 12 points off the bench, while Brandin Podziemski had a rough game of just four points on two of 11 shooting in a rare start.
Golden State Warriors Team Facts
- The home team has won each of the Warriors’ last 10 games.
- The Warriors have failed to cover the spread in eight of their last nine games as home favorites.
- Seven of the Warriors’ last eight games as home favorites against the Nets have gone UNDER the total points line.
Nets vs Warriors prediction
The Nets are still shorthanded with Dennis Smith Jr and Lonnie Walker both out, while the Warriors are still without Gary Payton. The Nets have quietly been one of the form teams in the league, but they will be hoping for a better performance after getting humbled by the Nuggets in their last outing, while the Warriors have really been out of sorts lately and they will take any win they can get at this point. The Nets are shorthanded for this one, but I think they bounce back against the slumping Warriors in this spot.
