Golden State Warriors vs Dallas Mavericks 1/25/22 NBA Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors duke it out at the Chase Center on Tuesday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 11 of their past 13 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after taking down the Grizzlies in a 104-91 home win on Sunday. Luka Doncic led the team with 37 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, Kristaps Porzingis added 15 points with six blocks while Jalen Brunson chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line, but this win was all about their defense as they set the tone with holding the Grizzlies to just 34 points in the first half to lead by as many as 22 points which allowed them to cruise in the second half where they were hardly threatened.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been building nicely as they’ve won four of their past six games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after sneaking past the Jazz in a 94-92 home win on Sunday. Jordan Poole led the team with 20 points, Andrew Wiggins added 14 points while Otto Porter Jr. and Stephen Curry each scored 13 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 43 percent from the field and 13 of 42 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Jazz in a tight contest until the third quarter where they used an 18-8 run to build a 13-point lead which proved to be just enough in the end as the Jazz rallied to cut the deficit to just two points with 32 seconds remaining.

Looking at the betting trends, the Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600 and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win. The Warriors are 21-8-2 ATS in their last 31 home games, 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games against a team with a winning record and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings overall, the Mavericks are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and the Mavericks are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Golden State.

The Mavericks are coming into this one red-hot and they are going to be almost at full strength while the Warriors are without Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green while Klay Thompson is listed as questionable. It’s no surprise that the Warriors have opened as favorites at home, but they haven’t been as dangerous since Green went down and it’ll be tough for Curry if Thompson isn’t available for this one. With that being said, I’m sticking with the Mavericks who are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall.
