The Denver Nuggets invade the Chase Center to battle the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.

The Denver Nuggets will be looking to bounce back in a big way after getting embarrassed by the new-look Jazz in a 123-102 road loss on Wednesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 27 points and six assists, Aaron Gordon added 22 points with 10 rebounds on 10 of 17 shooting, Michael Porter Jr. scored 15 points while Jamal Murray chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and a miserly five of 22 from the 3-point line as they failed to match the intensity of the Jazz and were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing an unforgivable 75 points in the first half.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors kick off their season in fine fashion as they received their championship rings before making light work of the Lakers in a 123-109 home win on Tuesday. Stephen Curry led the team with 33 points, seven assists and four steals, Andrew Wiggins added 20 points with six rebounds and four assists while Klay Thompson chipped in with 18 points in just 20 minutes of action. As a team, the Warriors shot 45 percent from the field and 16 of 45 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start thanks to Curry and never looked in danger after leading by as many as 27 points in the third quarter before the Lakers made a late run to keep the final scores respectable.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Warriors are 39-19-2 ATS in their last 60 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Nuggets are 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Golden State.

The Nuggets received a rude wake-up call against the new-look Jazz in their season opener, so their confidence will be low going into the Chase Center against the Warriors who look to already be in mid-season form. Aaron Gordon had a decent game for the Nuggets and it was good to see Jamal Murray back on the court, but they have plenty of work to do to catch up to the Warriors who already look like a better team than last season with Klay Thompson and James Wiseman both healthy. The Nuggets are only 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Golden State and I think that trend continues here as the Warriors should be too much to handle at home.
