As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and a miserly five of 22 from the 3-point line as they failed to match the intensity of the Jazz and were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing an unforgivable 75 points in the first half.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors kick off their season in fine fashion as they received their championship rings before making light work of the Lakers in a 123-109 home win on Tuesday. Stephen Curry led the team with 33 points, seven assists and four steals, Andrew Wiggins added 20 points with six rebounds and four assists while Klay Thompson chipped in with 18 points in just 20 minutes of action. As a team, the Warriors shot 45 percent from the field and 16 of 45 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start thanks to Curry and never looked in danger after leading by as many as 27 points in the third quarter before the Lakers made a late run to keep the final scores respectable.
