The Golden State Warriors play host to the Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center on Monday night.
Phoenix Suns Betting Preview
The Phoenix Suns have yet to get going with three defeats from their first four outings and they are now on a two-game losing streak after falling short to the Nuggets in a 127-120 home defeat on Friday. Miles Bridges led the team with 24 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks on 10 of 19 shooting, Dillon Brooks added 22 points on nine of 12 shooting while Devin Booker chipped in with 20 points and five assists. As a team, the Suns shot 49 percent from the field and 18 of 42 from the 3-point line as they got off to a great start with 37 points in the first quarter, but they were poor again on defense and got burned from behind the arc by the Nuggets who drained 20 of 37 from the 3-point line. Jalen Green had a quiet game of just two points on one of six shooting in 25 minutes of action.
Golden State Warriors Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been on a roll as they are now looking to build on their current four-game win streak after blowing past the Clippers in a 124-112 home win last night. Yaxel Lendeborg led the team with 37 points, four rebounds and six assists on 13 of 19 shooting, De’Anthony Melton added 21 points on six of nine shooting while Brandin Podziemski and Brandon Williams each scored 17 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 53 percent from the field and 22 of 49 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a 34-20 second quarter to overcome an early 11-point deficit and they just kept their foot on the gas until they led by as many as 22 points.
Phoenix v Golden State Free Prediction
The Suns are still slightly short handed with Mark Williams still out, while the Warriors are still missing Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody but they expect to have Stephen Curry and Draymond Green back in action after resting last night. The Suns have plenty of positives to take away from their narrow loss to the Nuggets on Friday, but they are still struggling mightily at the moment, so this looks like a good spot for the Nuggets with the line so short. This could be a close one, but I definitely prefer a play on the Warriors to take care of business at home.
