The Golden State Warriors play host to the Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center Tuesday night in NBA action.

Phoenix Suns Betting Preview

The Phoenix Suns were so disappointed with how they fizzled out last season, so they shipped just about everyone except for Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, while acquiring Bradley Beal to form one of the best trios in the league. It is going to be a tall task to try and juggle shots between three volume scorers, but Durant has already shown that he can adapt his game with any team, while Beal will be delighted to be the third option in this lineup. The Suns would’ve been distraught with how their last season ended, but Durant was a midseason trade, so I’m expecting him to be so much more dangerous now that he will have a full season with this new team.

Warriors Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors will be eager to return to title contention after a decent, but unfulfilled 22-23 season. Management decided to renew Draymond Green for four years, they traded away Jordan Poole while acquiring Chris Paul, Cory Joseph and Dario Saric. Interestingly, the Warriors have yet to ink Klay Thompson to a new deal, so he could easily find himself on another team midseason depending on his form. The Warriors will be disappointed that they weren’t able to get to the NBA Finals last season, but they dealt with so many injuries and distractions, and were still only two wins away from a NBA Finals berth.

Peter’s Pick

The Warriors are a little shorthanded to start the season as Draymond Green is still dealing with a sprained left ankle that saw him sit out the entire preseason. The revamped Suns come into this one as slight underdogs and it’s not too surprising given the firepower they now possess, and I think they kick off their season with a win behind a big game from Kevin Durant who will love playing against his former team for the first time since the big trade last season. You can make an argument for either side here, but in what should be a close one, I’m leaning towards the new-look Suns to take advantage of the shorthanded Warriors in this spot.
