Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 1/4/21

The Sacramento Kings and the Golden State Warriors do battle at the Chase Center on Monday night.

The Sacramento Kings have split their first six games of the season, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Rockets in a 102-94 road loss on Saturday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 23 points and four assists, Buddy Hield added 17 points while Harrison Barnes chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Kings shot 38 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line as they went trading blows with the Rockets in a tight first half, before getting blown out in the second half where they managed just 30 points.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have started to pick up their play as they’ve won three of their last four games and they will be looking to stay hot after last night’s 137-122 win over the Trailblazers. Stephen Curry led the team with a career-high 62 points on 18 of 31 shooting, Andrew Wiggins added 21 points while Kelly Oubre Jr. chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Warriors shot a sizzling 55 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 66 points in the first half, before running away with it in the second half where they led by as many as 20 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a losing record, 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as a road favorite and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Warriors are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games, 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 games playing on zero days rest and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the Kings are 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings in Golden State and the Kings are 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Kings have cooled off lately after a quick start to the season, while the Warriors are starting to find their groove after a slow start. It’s tempting to take the Kings to bounce back after a couple of losses to the Rockets, but it’s hard to ignore the form that Curry is in now after dropping 62 points last night. The Kings are 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings overall, but I’m sticking with the Warriors as the home underdogs in this one.

Peter’s Pick:
Golden State +2.5
