The Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets collide at the Toyota Center on Wednesday night.

The Indiana Pacers have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past six games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after last night’s 126-115 home loss to the Clippers. Malcolm Brogdon led the team with 29 points on 12 of 18 shooting, Caris LeVert added 26 points with six assists while Domantas Sabonis chipped in with 20 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 45 percent from the field and nine of 40 from the 3-point line as they got off to a nice start with 34 points in the first quarter and hung in the contest until the fourth quarter where they managed just 18 points. Justin Holiday scored just eight points on three of nine shooting while Jeremy Lamb scored just three points on zero of four shooting.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in horrendous form as they’ve lost 30 of their past 33 games and they will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight loss after falling just short to the Suns in a 126-120 road loss on Monday. Christian Wood led the team with 25 points, 15 rebounds and three assists, Kevin Porter Jr. added 22 points with 14 assists while Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 16 points and eight rebounds. As a team, the Rockets shot 50 percent from the field and 17 of 42 from the 3-point line, but they allowed too many open looks early on and the Suns burned them with 18 3-pointers in the first half to have them trail by as many as 24 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 7-16 ATS in their last 23 games overall. The Rockets are 15-38 ATS in their last 53 games against a team with a losing record, 6-23 ATS in their last 29 home games and 18-40 ATS in their last 58 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings overall, the Pacers are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings in Houston and the Pacers are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Pacers were riding a three-game win streak before running into the red-hot Clippers last night, so they’re definitely in better form than the Rockets who have lost 30 of their past 33 games. Myles Turner is listed as questionable after sitting out last night, but I’m still going with the Pacers to get the job done against this slumping Rockets team.
