Houston Rockets vs Utah Jazz prediction 1-20-24 Picks

The Utah Jazz invade the Toyota Center to battle the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. Here’s a Jazz vs Rockets Prediction.

Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz have been in great form as they’ve won nine of their last 11 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after coming up just short to the Thunder in a 134-129 loss on Thursday. Collin Sexton led the team with 31 points and seven assists on 10 of 19 shooting, Lauri Markkanen added 26 points with 10 rebounds and four assists while John Collins chipped in with 21 points on seven of 11 shooting. As a team, the Jazz shot 48 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Thunder in a close contest that remained within single digits until the Thunder went on a 17-9 run in the fourth quarter to start to pull away.

Houston Rockets

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in a real slump as they’ve lost five of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting thrashed by the Knicks in a 109-94 road defeat on Wednesday. Fred VanVleet led the team with 34 points and 12 assists, Alperen Sengun added 18 points with 10 rebounds and four blocks while Jalen Green chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Rockets shot just 41 percent from the field and eight of 30 from the 3-point line which was still good enough to hang with the Knicks until the third quarter where the Knicks used a 26-16 run to take a double-digit lead.

Jazz vs Rockets Prediction

The Rockets are still missing Victor Oladipo and they have Reggie Bullock Jr listed as questionable, while the Jazz are coming in with a full squad once again. The Rockets have been in a slump for a while now and they got routed by the Knicks in their last game despite a big game from VanVleet. The Jazz have been one of the form teams in the league and I think they bounce back from their last start loss with a win and cover on the road. This should be a close one, but I think the Jazz represent decent value as the road underdog here.
