Los Angeles Clippers vs Portland Trail Blazers NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 4/6/21

The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Portland Trailblazers at the Staples Center on Tuesday night.

The Portland Trailblazers have been in red-hot form lately as they’ve won five of their last six games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the slumping Thunder in a 133-85 home win on Saturday. CJ McCollum led the team in scoring with 20 points on eight of 14 shooting, Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons each scored 16 points while Norman Powell chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 49 percent from the field and 20 of 46 from the 3-point line as they poured in 35 points in the first quarter to take an early double-digit lead, before putting the game out of reach early with a dominant 39-13 third quarter.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in great shape themselves as they’ve won nine of their past 13 games and they will be looking to maintain their momentum after blowing past the shorthanded Lakers in a 104-86 home win on Sunday. Marcus Morris led the team in scoring with 22 points on nine of 13 shooting, Kawhi Leonard added 19 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists while Paul George chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 28 from the 3-point line as they set the tone by holding the Lakers to just 38 points in the first half, before holding them to just 17 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 24 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games playing on two days’ rest and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record. The Clippers are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.

Head to head, the Trailblazers are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Trailblazers have really started to heat up lately and they must be feeling good after beating the Thunder by 48 points on Saturday, while the Clippers have been in fine form themselves with nine wins in their last 13 games. Patrick Beverley is listed as questionable for the Clippers while Derrick Jones Jr. will make his return for the Trailblazers. The Clippers have opened as favorites at home where they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine, but I just feel that this one will go down to the wire, so I’m taking any points I can get. Give me the Trailblazers with the points in a game they could easily win.
