The Los Angeles Lakers play host to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their past nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after making light work of the Clippers in a 137-113 road win on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 28 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Jrue Holiday added 27 points with 13 assists while Bobby Portis chipped in with 24 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Bucks shot 54 percent from the field and 19 of 38 from the 3-point line as they held the Clippers to just 19 points in the second quarter to take a nine-point lead into halftime, before exploding for 77 points in the second half to make it a complete blowout.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their past six games, but they will be feeling much better after outlasting the Knicks in a 122-115 overtime home win on Saturday. LeBron James led the team with a triple-double of 29 points with 13 rebounds and 10 assists, Malik Monk added 29 points while Anthony Davis chipped in with 28 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks. As a team, the Lakers shot 47 percent from the field and nine of 34 from the 3-point line as they struggled out of the gates and had to rally back from a 21-point deficit, before holding the Knicks to just four points in the overtime period to escape with the gritty win.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win of more than 10 points and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games, 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the under is 6-0 in the last six meetings overall.
The Lakers could be shorthanded in this one as Carmelo Anthony has been ruled out while Dwight Howard and LeBron James are listed as questionable. The Bucks are still missing Brook Lopez and George Hill, but Grayson Allen is expected to return after sitting out on Sunday. A win here would be massive for the Lakers’ confidence moving forward, but they’ve been well below their best lately and are running into the Bucks at just the wrong time. Give me the Bucks to get the win and cover at the short line.
