Los Angeles Lakers vs Phoenix Suns Prediction 12-5-23 NBA Picks

The Phoenix Suns invade the Crypto.com Arena to do battle with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. Here’s a Suns vs Lakers prediction.

Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns have been in fine form as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after taking down the Grizzlies in a 116-109 home win on Saturday. Devin Booker led the team with 34 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, Kevin Durant added 27 points with five assists on 10 of 14 shooting while Jusuf Nurkic chipped in with 14 points but no other player finished in double figures in scocring. As a team, the Suns shot 43 percent from the field and nine of 26 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Grizzlies until the third quarter where they went on a pivotal 14-0 run to pull away and snap a two-game skid.

Los Angeles Lakers

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in decent shape as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall and they will be looking to build on that after outlasting the Rockets in a 107-97 home win on Saturday. Anthony Davis led the team with 27 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks, Austin Reaves added 18 points off the bench while LeBron James chipped in with 16 points and seven assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 44 percent from the field and eight of 27 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a dominant 35-14 second quarter to build a 19-point lead, before they held off a late rally from the Rockets.

Suns vs Lakers Prediction

The Suns are still shorthanded with Bradley Beal out and Eric Gordon listed as questionable, while the Lakers are still missing Gabe Vincent and they have LeBron James listed as questionable once again. These two teams have already met twice this season with the Lakers winning by single digits in both meetings, so while it’s tempting to take the Suns as the slight underdog, the Lakers have been solid and I think they get the job done at the short line in this one.
