Memphis Grizzlies vs LA Lakers Prediction 3-27-24 Picks

The LA Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies meet Wednesday in NBA action at the FedExForum. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Lakers vs Grizzlies prediction.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be gunning for a fifth straight win after outlasting the Bucks in a 128-124 double overtime win last night. Anthony Davis led the team with 34 points with 23 rebounds and four blocks, D’Angelo Russell added 29 points, Austin Reaves tallied a triple-double of 29 points with 14 rebounds and 10 assists while Rui Hachimura chipped in with 16 points and 14 rebounds. As a team, the Lakers shot just 38 percent from the field and 14 of 44 from the 3-point line as they played great defense to hold the Bucks to just 13 points in the fourth quarter to erase an early 19-point deficit, before they slipped away in the second overtime period to escape with the gritty road win. The Lakers will meet the Pacers after this one.

Memphis Grizzlies

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in a terrible slump as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting thrashed by the Nuggets in a 128-103 road loss on Monday. Lamar Stevens led the team in scoring with 19 points off the bench, Scottie Pippen Jr added 17 points with four assists while GG Jackson and Desmond Bane each scored 15 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 39 percent from the field and 11 of 44 from the 3-point line, but the writing was on the wall early in this one as the Grizzlies were already dead in the water after falling behind by 69-44 going into halftime. Jake LaRavia had a night to forget as he shot just one of nine from the field and zero of seven from the 3-point line to finish with just three points off the bench.

Lakers vs Grizzlies prediction

The Lakers are still missing a few players with Christian Wood, Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt still out, while the Grizzlies are still without Derrick Rose, Ja Morant and Marcus Smart to name a few. The Lakers are coming into this meeting with plenty of winning momentum with five wins in their past seven games and they looked great in their thrilling win over the Pacers in their last outing, so it’s no surprise that they open as the road favorites here. The Lakers are playing their second game of a back to back set, but with the line so short, I am sticking with the Lakers to take care of business in this spot.
