Memphis Grizzlies vs Sacramento Kings Prediction 12-31-23 NBA Picks

The Sacramento Kings and the Memphis Grizzlies do battle at the FedexForum on Sunday night. Here’s a Kings vs Grizzlies Prediction.

Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games and they will be eager to keep it going after taking down the Hawks in a 117-110 road win on Friday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 31 points, eight assists and four steals, Domantas Sabonis tallied 25 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists while Trey Lyles chipped in with 19 points off the bench. As a team, the Kings shot 51 percent from the field and 17 of 45 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible to start to fall behind by 23 points, before they flipped a switch and dominated the second half by 64-39 to run down the deficit with time to spare in the end.

Memphis Grizzlies

Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in a slump as they’ve lost seven of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting routed by the Clippers in a 117-106 road defeat on Friday. Jaren Jackson Jr and Marcus Smart led the team with 22 points each, Ja Morant added 19 points with 10 assists while Desmond Bane chipped in with 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 43 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line which was good enough to stay within striking distance, until the Clippers opened the third quarter on a 17-4 run to pull away from them.

Kings vs Grizzlies Prediction

The Kings could be shorthanded for this one with Kevin Huerter listed as questionable, while the Grizzlies are keeping eyes on Derrick Rose, John Konchar and Luke Kennard who are all questionable also. The Kings come into this one as the team in better shape and they will be full of confidence after rallying all the way back from a 23-point deficit against the Hawks in a thrilling comeback win on Friday. The Kings come into this one as the slight underdogs but they have looked good lately and I think they can pull off the minor upset in this spot.
