The Chicago Bulls pay a visit to the Miami Heat at the FTX Arena on Saturday night.
The Chicago Bulls have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their past seven games, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after having their four-game win streak halted by the Cavaliers in a 115-92 road loss on Wednesday. Zach LaVine led the team with 23 points and nine assists, Lonzo Ball added 19 points with seven assists while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 18 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Bulls shot just 41 percent from the field and seven of 26 from the 3-point line as they fell behind early after scoring just 19 points in the second quarter and things only got worse in the second half where the Cavaliers poured in 63 points to make it a complete blowout.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their past six games, but they will be eager to build some momentum after outlasting the red-hot Bucks in a 113-104 home win on Wednesday. Caleb Martin led the team with 28 points, eight rebounds and three assists on nine of 12 shooting, Kyle Lowry added 22 points with 13 assists while PJ Tucker chipped in with 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Heat shot 51 percent from the field and a sizzling 22 of 47 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the game before taking control in the third quarter where they exploded for 39 points. Martin drained six 3-pointers, Lowry and Struss each drained four 3-pointers while Duncan Robinson drained two before leaving the game after 21 minutes with a quadriceps injury.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record, 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Heat are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on two days’ rest and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the lats six meetings overall and the Bulls are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Miami.
The Bulls were in pretty good shape before getting routed by the red-hot Cavaliers in their last outing and they are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record. The Heat haven’t been at their best lately, but they were able to get a much-needed win over the Bucks thanks to a big night from Martin. It’s always tough to pick games with both teams missing so many players, but I’m sticking with the Bulls who are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Miami.
