The Detroit Pistons and the Milwaukee Bucks duke it out at the Fiserv Forum on Wednesday night.
The Detroit Pistons have lost six of their last seven games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling painfully short to the Bucks in a 110-108 road loss on Monday. Cade Cunningham led the way with 27 points, six rebounds and seven assists, Bojan Bogdanovic added 23 points on nine of 16 shooting while Jaden Ivey chipped in with 19 points on eight of 17 shooting. As a team, the Pistons shot 44 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Bucks early on and trailed by 16 points, but they never gave up and were able to tie the game until the Bucks escaped on a clutch 26-foot shot from Jrue Holiday with just 45.3 seconds remaining.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been on fire to start the season as they are now aiming for a seventh straight win after outlasting the Pistons in a close contest on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 31 points on 12 of 23 shooting, Jrue Holiday added 25 points with seven rebounds and 10 assists while Brook Lopez chipped in with 24 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Bucks shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 40 from the 3-point line as they stormed out to an early 16-point lead, but they never put the Pistons away and were in trouble until Holiday drained the biggest 3-pointer of the game to help the Bucks keep their win streak alive.
Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games against a team with a winning record and 23-10 ATS in their last 33 games overall. The Bucks are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games, 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall, the Pistons are 4-14-1 ATS in the last 19 meetings overall and the Pistons are 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Milwaukee.
The Pistons will be missing Jalen Duran and Alec Burks, while the Bucks are still without joe Ingles, Khris Middleton and Pat Connaughton. The Pistons showed plenty of fight to claw back from an 18-point deficit on Monday, but they are only 3-7-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Milwaukee and I think that trend continues here as the Bucks don’t make the same mistake twice. Expect the Bucks to take better care of an early lead this time around.
