Minnesota Timberwolves vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction 4-12-24 Picks

The Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves meet Friday in NBA action at the Target Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Hawks vs Timberwolves prediction.

Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have been in a rut as they are now hoping to put a halt to a four-game slide after falling painfully short to the lowly Hornets in a 115-114 loss on Wednesday. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Vit Krejci each scored 19 points, Clint Capela added 15 points, while Trae Young chipped in with 14 points and 11 assists on five of five shooting. As a team, the Hawks shot 52 percent from the field and 18 of 40 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 35 points in the first quarter and controlled most of the game to build an 18-point lead, only to get run down in the fourth quarter where they got outscored by 38-22 to suffer the disappointing defeat.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall, and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting beaten by the Nuggets in a 116-107 road defeat on Wednesday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 25 points on nine of 18 shooting, Mike Conley added 19 points while Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert scored 13 points each. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 50 percent from the field and 13 of 30 from the 3-point line as they played solid defense early on take the narrow lead into halftime, only to allow 67 points in the second half as they had no answer for the Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic who torched them for 41 points on 16 of 20 shooting.

Hawks vs Timberwolves prediction

The Hawks are keeping eyes on Clint Capela and Dejounte Murray, who are both questionable, while the Timberwolves are still missing Karl-Anthony Towns and Jaylen Clark. The Hawks have gone cold again, and they could be severely depleted here, while the Timberwolves were on a great run before getting stopped by the red-hot Nuggets in their last outing. The line is certainly a bit hefty, but the Timberwolves are clearly the team in better shape, and I think they can make this look easy if they get off to a quick start.
