Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets Prediction 5-12-24 Picks

The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Denver Nuggets in NBA Game 4 at the Ball Arena on Sunday night. Here’s a Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets Prediction.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves must have been full of confidence following their second road win to start the series, but they are now hoping to bounce back after getting humbled by the Nuggets in a tough loss in Game 3. Anthony Edwards led the team with 19 points, six rebounds and five assists, Karl-Anthony Towns added 14 points while Mike Conley chipped in with 10 points and six assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 43 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line as they struggled to match the urgency of the Nuggets from the start and quickly found themselves trailing by as many as 34 points in what was a rude awakening.

Denver Nuggets

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets will be looking to square up the series after making it look easy against the Timberwolves in a dominant 117-90 win in Game 3 on Friday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 24 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, Jamal Murray added 24 points with five assists while Michael Porter Jr chipped in with 21 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 53 percent from the field and 14 of 29 from the 3-point line as they set the tone early, holding the Timberwolves to just 41 points in the first half to take the early lead, before they exploded for 37 points in the third quarter to put the game to bed.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets Prediction

The Timberwolves are coming into this one with a full squad once again, while the Nuggets are keeping eyes on Jamal Murray, Reggie Jackson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who are all questionable. The Timberwolves just couldn’t recover from a slow start in Game 3, and you have to point some of the blame at Edwards, who scored just eight points in the first half. The Nuggets were able to get back to their old habits with their backs against the wall, but they might be in trouble if they think it will be so easy this time. I’m expecting a much closer contest, but I just can’t resist the Nuggets as underdogs in this spot.
