The Miami Heat and the Minnesota Timberwolves do battle at the Target Center on Saturday night.
Miami Heat Betting Preview
The Miami Heat will be looking to bounce back in this one after getting beaten by the Celtics in a 119-111 road loss last night. Tyler Herro led the way with 28 points, six rebounds and six assists, Bam Adebayo added 27 points with seven rebounds and two blocks while Jimmy BUtler chipped in with 14 points on three of 11 shooting. As a team, the Heat shot just 42 percent from the field and 16 of 33 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Celtics in a close contest, until midway through the fourth quarter where the Celtics pulled away behind their 3-point shooting.
Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves are still looking for their first win of the season after coming up just short to the Raptors in a 97-94 road loss on Wednesday. Anthony Edwards led the way with 26 points and 14 rebounds, Karl-Anthony Towns added 19 points with 10 rebounds and four blocks while Rudy Gobert tallied 15 points with 13 rebounds and four blocks. As a team, the Timberwolves shot just 34 percent from the field and eight of 31 from the 3-point line, but to their credit, they were always in the contest and were close to pulling off the upset in the end.
Peter’s Pick
The Heat will again be without Caleb Martin and Josh Richardson, while the Timberwolves have listed Jaden McDaniels as doubtful with a calf injury. The Heat are coming into this one fresh off a tough loss to the Celtics, but they were right in the contest with one of the best teams in the league, so I like their chances against this young Timberwolves team, especially with Butler playing against his former team. I get why the Timberwolves are favored at home, but I think the Heat can at least push the Timberwolves and get the cover here.
