The Sacramento Kings and the Minnesota Timberwolves collide at the Target Center on Friday night.
Sacramento Kings Betting Preview
The Sacramento Kings have been struggling as they’ve lost nine of their first 12 games and they will be hoping to put a halt to a four-game slide after getting thrashed by the Hawks in a 133-100 loss on Wednesday. Keon Ellis drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 20 points on seven of 14 shooting, Domantas Sabonis added 12 points while Russell Westbrook chipped in with 10 points and three assists. As a team, the Kings shot just 39 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they struggled to match the Hawks early on and scored just 12 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 20 points going into halftime and things only got worse in the third quarter where they fell behind by as many as 44 points.
Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in great form as they’ve reeled off five wins from their past six outings and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after beating the Jazz in a 120-113 road win on Monday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 35 points, six rebounds and six assists on 13 of 25 shooting, Julius Randle added 27 points with eight rebounds and seven assists while Rudy Gobert tallied 14 points with 12 rebounds and two blocks on seven of eight shooting. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 47 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to stay within striking distance at halftime, before they took control with a 40-25 third quarter domination to take a 22-point lead.
Sacramento v Minnesota Free Prediction
The Kings could be missing some players here with Malik Monk and Domantas Sabonis both listed as questionable for this one, while the Timberwolves are still only missing Terrence Shannon Jr. These two squads last met on Sunday and it was the Timberwolves who romped to a 144-117 win. The Kings will be out for revenge in this one, but their starting lineup has been so poor this season that I don’t see them troubling this red-hot Timberwolves squad who should be well-rested as they haven’t played since Monday. The line seems hefty, but not enough to sway me from backing this Timberwolves team to take advantage of a struggling Kings squad.
