Minnesota Timberwolves vs Washington Wizards Prediction 4-9-24 Picks

The Washington Wizards and Minnesota Timberwolves meet Tuesday in NBA action at the Target Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Wizards vs Timberwolves prediction.

Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards have been in rough shape as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting stopped by the Raptors in a 130-122 road defeat on Sunday. Deni Avdija led the team with 32 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Jordan Poole added 29 points with 12 assists while Corey Kispert chipped in with 21 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 47 percent from the field and 16 of 40 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start, scoring just 17 points in the first quarter to fall behind by as many as 29 points which was always too much to overcome.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after beating the Lakers in a 127-117 road win on Sunday. Naz Reid led the team with 31 points and 11 rebounds on 12 of 16 shooting, Anthony Edwards added 26 points with eight assists while Rudy Gobert chipped in with 18 points, 16 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 51 percent from the field and 15 of 39 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates and always looked in control after exploding for 46 points in the second quarter to lead by as many as 20 points.

Wizards vs Timberwolves prediction

The Wizards could be severely shorthanded with Kyle Kuzma, Anthony Gill, Landry Shamet and Richaun Holmes all listed as questionable, while the Timberwolves are still without Jaylen Clark and Karl-Anthony Towns. The Wizards have gone cold again after a bit of a resurgence, while the Timberwolves are playing some of their best basketball of the season and are coming into this one fresh off a win over the red-hot Lakers. The line is massive for this one, but the Wizards have nothing to play for at this stage of the season, so I’m backing the Timberwolves to take care of business at home.
