New Orleans Pelicans vs Denver Nuggets Player Prop Picks 11-15-24
The Denver Nuggets are taking on the New Orleans Pelicans on November 15, 2024, as significant favorites. Denver has been on a strong run, winning five straight games, while the Pelicans have struggled early this season, sitting at the bottom of the standings.
The Nuggets’ offense, led by MVP candidate Nikola Jokić, has been clicking, with key contributions from Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. The Pelicans have been terrible, they have to lean on Brandon Ingram heavily with the amount of injuries they’re dealing with. Also, their defensive inefficiencies have hindered them as well. While the Pelicans will have home-court advantage at the Smoothie King Center, the odds favor the Nuggets significantly
Brandon Ingram Over 24.5 Points
Brandon Ingram has had a strong scoring start this season. He has been consistent averaging 22.5 points per game shooting 46.9% from the field. He had notable performances like 33 points in the season opener against the Chicago Bulls and a standout 70.6% from the field in a game against the Golden State Warriors. His scoring average has varied between 14 and 32 points per game, with an emphasis on shooting efficiency, His scoring is supplemented by solid rebounding and playmaking contributions.
If it’s not Brandon Ingram who’s it going to be for this Pelicans team? They’re missing Williamson, Murray, and McCollum. We’ve seen him get under this number in 4 straight games but I like him to have a big scoring game in this spot. The Nuggets should be up most of this game which will force Ingram to play aggressively to try to keep up. It’s not too late for the Pelicans to turn their season around but if they do they’ll need Brandon Ingram to step up in a big way.
Nikola Jokic Over 12.5 Rebounds
Nikola Jokić has been dominant on the boards during the 2024-25 season. As of mid-November, he’s averaging 13.7 rebounds per game, which ranks among the best in the league. His rebounding is a mix of both offensive and defensive contributions, where he’s averaging 2.2 offensive rebounds and 9.2 defensive rebounds per game. This strong rebounding presence is complemented by his overall playmaking, as he’s also contributing over 11 assists per game, showcasing his all-around skill set for the Denver Nuggets.
We’ve seen him eclipse this number is 12.5 rebounds in 4 of his last 5 games. In that stretch, he had a 19-rebound game and an 18-rebound game. What Jokic is doing this season is incredible. This Pelicans team lacks a presence in the paint and I expect another massive game from Jokic on the glass.
Michael Porter Jr. Over 2.5 Three Pointers
Michael Porter Jr. has been a key contributor for the Denver Nuggets this season, especially with his shooting from beyond the arc. He is currently averaging 3.1 three-pointers per game. In total, he is hitting 40.8% of his attempts from three, on an average of 7.6 attempts per game. His scoring has been an important aspect of the Nuggets’ offensive flow, helping space the floor for the team.
After getting over this number in 6 straight games he came down to earth against the Dallas Mavericks only making 2 three-pointers. I like him to bounce back in this game though. New Orleans is giving up 14.3 three-pointers per game to opposing teams which is the 6th most in the league. With the Denver Nuggets trading away KCP, Michael Porter Jr. has had to step up from beyond the arc for this team and I expect him to do that on Friday against a bad Pelicans defense.
