The New Orleans Pelicans play host to the Sacramento Kings at the Smoothie King Center on Monday night.

The Sacramento Kings have been in rough shape lately as they are currently on a six-game slide after getting routed by the Jazz in a 128-112 road loss on Saturday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 30 points and eight assists, Richaun Holmes scored 25 points with 10 rebounds on 10 of 13 shooting while Buddy Hield added 19 points with seven assists. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 42 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to lead at halftime, before the Jazz caught fire in the second half where they exploded for 69 points.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their past nine games and they will be gunning for a third straight win after taking down the Cavaliers in a 116-109 road win last night. Zion Williamson led the team with 38 points, nine rebounds and four assists on 16 of 22 shooting, Brandon Ingram added 27 points with eight assists while Nico Marshall chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Pelicans shot 51 percent from the field and seven of 24 from the 3-point line as they fell behind by 13 points after the Cavaliers poured in 39 points in the first quarter, but they worked their way back into the contest and ran away with it in the fourth quarter where they held the Cavaliers to just 15 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. The Pelicans are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games against a team with a losing road record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a favorite.

The Pelicans have come to life with a couple of nice wins on the trot and they will be feeling good after last night’s win over the Cavaliers, while the Kings have been struggling for a while now as they’re riding a six-game skid into this one. Lonzo Ball is listed as questionable for this one after sitting out last night, but I’m still going with the Pelicans to maintain their momentum with another narrow win here.
