The Detroit Pistons travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks on Friday night.

The Detroit Pistons will be looking to stay hot after outlasting the Magic in a 113-109 home win on Wednesday. Bojan Bogdanovic drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 24 points, Jaden Ivey added 19 points, Cade Cunningham added 18 points with 10 assists while Isaiah Stewart chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Pistons shot 42 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they recovered from a slow start and exploded for 40 points in the second quarter to overcome an early 15-point lead, before escaping with the narrow win after their lead was cut to just one point.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting stopped by the shorthanded Grizzlies in a 115-112 overtime road loss on Wednesday. Julius Randle led the team with 24 points, 11 rebounds and six assists on nine of 16 shooting, Cameron Reddish added 22 points off the bench, Isaiah Hartenstein tallied 16 points off the bench while Jalen Brunson chipped in with 15 points and nine assists. As a team, the Knicks shot just 40 percent from the field and nine of 37 from the 3-point line as they rallied all the way back from a 19-point deficit, only to come up painfully short in overtime where the Grizzlies slipped away in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 road games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a losing record. The Knicks are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 home games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record.

Head to head, the under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall, the Pistons are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the Pistons are 9-25 ATS in the last 34 meetings in New York.

The Pistons will be buoyed by their win over the Magic on Wednesday and they would love to keep it going with a road win here. However, the Knicks showed plenty of promise in their narrow loss as they could’ve easily given up and lost by a huge margin. Brunson had a rough outing in his debut for the Knicks, but they are still a better team than the Pistons and I think they can bounce back at home. The Pistons are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and I’m banking on that trend to continue as the Knicks bounce back.
