New York Knicks vs Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction 3-31-24 Picks

The Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks meet Sunday in NBA action at Madison Square Garden. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Thunder vs Knicks prediction.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in great form as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Suns in a 128-103 win on Friday. Josh Giddey led the team with 23 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, Chet Holmgren added 20 points while Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace each scored 16 points. As a team, the Thunder shot 56 percent from the field and 16 of 30 from the 3-point line as they came out strong with 70 points in the first half and they just kept their foot on the gas, outscoring the Suns in every quarter to win big as the slight underdogs in this one. The Thunder will meet the 76ers after this one.

New York Knicks

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been in fine form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Spurs in a 130-126 overtime road loss on Friday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 61 points on 25 of 47 shooting from the field, Donte DiVincenzo added 20 points while Josh Hart chipped in with 12 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Knicks shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 37 from the 3-point line as they worked hard to claw their way back from an early 21-point deficit, only to go ice-cold when it mattered most, scoring just five points in overtime to allow the Spurs off the hook in the end.

Thunder vs Knicks prediction

The Thunder are still going to be shorthanded with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander expected to sit out once again, while the Knicks have ruled out OG Anunoby again, and they have Mitchell Robinson listed as questionable. The Thunder played great team basketball to run past the Suns despite missing their best player, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort against one of the best defenses in the league. The Knicks have rightfully opened as slight favorites at home, and they will surely come out swinging after getting embarrassed by the Spurs in their last outing. This should be a close one, but I’m leaning towards the Knicks to get the narrow win behind the strength of their defense.
