Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets Prediction 3-27-24 Picks

The Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder meet Wednesday in NBA action at the Paycom Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Rockets vs Thunder prediction.

Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets have been in great shape as they’ve won 11 of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current nine-game win streak after blowing past the lowly Trail Blazers in a 110-92 home win on Monday. Jalen Green led the team with 27 points, Jock Landale added 17 points with nine rebounds on six of six shooting while Fred VanVleet chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Rockets shot just 39 percent from the field and 12 of 39 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and scored just 19 points in the second quarter to fall behind early, but they flipped the script and dominated the second half by 61-41 to make it look easy in the end despite a poor shooting night from Dillon Brooks who shot just two of 13 from the field and zero of eight from the 3-point line.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been on a great run as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their four-game win streak halted by the red-hot Bucks in a 118-93 road defeat on Sunday. Josh Giddey led the team with 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, Jalen Williams added 18 points while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Thunder shot just 37 percent from the field and 10 of 43 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Bucks in a close contest until the sceond half where they got demolished by 70-46. Luguentz Dort had a rough night as he scored just seven points on two of eight shooting while Chet Holmgren scored just six points on one of 10 shooting. The Thunder will face the Suns after this game.

Rockets vs Thunder prediction

The Rockets are still shorthanded with Alperen Sengun and Cam Whitmore still out, while the Thunder are coming into this one with a full squad once again. The Rockets have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league as they’ve barely missed a step over their past 12 games. While the Thunder were on a great run before they got stopped in their tracks by the Bucks in an ugly loss on Sunday. The Thunder open as favorites at home, but I think we’re getting enough free points to take the Rockets to keep this one close till the end.
