Oklahoma City Thunder vs LA Clippers Player Prop Picks 11-11-24
The Oklahoma City Thunder face off against the Los Angeles Clippers in an exciting 2024-25 NBA matchup, with both teams having distinct strengths and weaknesses that will shape the game. The Thunder have picked up where they left off last season and have been dominant on defense, leading the league in steals and blocks. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been an outstanding leader, averaging 26 points, 6 assists, and playing excellent defense, while Chet Holmgren has been a standout with 18 points and 9 rebounds per game. Oklahoma City’s ability to play fast and aggressively has been key to their early success.
The Clippers, on the other hand, have looked better after a tough start to the season. Their offense has been led by James Harden, who has averaged nearly a triple-double with 21.2 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds per game. However, the team has been inconsistent defensively, especially in their recent losses, giving up large leads and allowing opponents to shoot efficiently. With Kawhi Leonard sidelined, much of the Clippers’ hopes rest on Harden and Ivica Zubac, the latter of whom has been an effective force in the paint.
The Thunder’s advantage in fast-paced play and defensive intensity should give them an edge, especially if they can limit the Clippers’ scoring opportunities. However, the Clippers’ experience and hard-fighting mentality could make this a close game.
Chet Holmgren Under 9.5 Rebounds
Chet Holmgren has been an excellent rebounder, averaging 9.0 rebounds per game. His rebounding performances include multiple double-digit efforts, with a career-high of 16 rebounds in a game against the Bulls. Along with his rebounding, he has showcased his versatility by adding significant blocks and points to his game.
Even though Chet Holmgren has been a machine on the boards this season this will be one of his tougher matchups this season. One of the bright spots of this Clippers season so far has been their ability to rebound the ball. They’re allowing 48.6 rebounds to opposing teams which is the 2nd fewest in the league. Zubac is a presence in the paint and won’t make it easy for Chet all night long.
Jalen Williams Under 1.5 3PTS
Jalen Williams has been performing well from beyond the arc this season. He has averaged 2.0 made three-pointers per game across his appearances, maintaining a solid 38.9% shooting from three.
This is a good value play as you should get plus odds on this under. After a four-game stretch of hitting multiple threes, we saw Jalen Williams not make a single three in his last game against the Rockets. He gets another tough matchup in the Clippers who’ve played really good perimeter defense this season. They’re allowing only 12.3 three-pointers a game to opposing teams which is the 7th fewest in the league. I’ll take a shot with Jalen Williams to not have a multiple three-point game in this matchup.
James Harden Over 22.5 PTS
James Harden has been averaging 21.2 points per game so far this season, contributing significantly to the Los Angeles Clippers’ offense. Along with his scoring, he is adding 9.0 assists and 8.1 rebounds per game, demonstrating his all-around playmaking abilities. Without Kawhi, James Harden and Norman Powell have had to lead the way for this Clippers offense when it comes to a scoring perspective.
Even though this is one of Hardens tougher matchups going against the Thunder defense I like him to have a big game. I assume they’ll be playing from behind in this game which will force Harden and this Clippers team to keep their foot on the gas pedal all night.
