Oklahoma City Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction 12-26-23 NBA Picks

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder collide at the Paycom Center on Tuesday night. Here’s a Timberwolves vs Thunder Prediction.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 11 of their last 13 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Kings in a 110-98 road win on Saturday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 34 points and 10 assists on 13 of 27 shooting, Rudy Gobert added 21 points with 17 rebounds and two blocks on 10 of 13 shooting while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 20 points and four steals. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 50 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line, but they set up this win with their defense as they were always in control after holding the Kings to just 20 points in the first quarter.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak halted by the Lakers in a 129-120 loss on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 34 points and seven assists, Jalen Williams added 28 points while Chet Holmgren chipped in with 19 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Thunder shot 48 percent from the field and 13 of 41 from the 3-point line, but they went cold and scored just 20 points in the second quarter to fall behind by as many as 26 points before they made a late rally to keep the scores respectable. The Thunder will play against the Knicks, Nuggets, and Nets after this one.

Timberwolves vs Thunder Prediction

The Timberwolves could be shorthanded once again with Karl-Anthony Towns listed as questionable, while the Thunder have listed Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey as questionable.  The Timberwolves have been rock-solid all season and it looks as though injuries don’t slow them down either as they easily beat the Kings without Towns in the lineup. The Thunder were on a roll themselves before they got stopped in their tracks by the Lakers on Saturday, so we should be in for a good contest here. These two teams have already met once this season with the Timberwolves winning by three points back on Nov 28, but the Thunder have won their last five home games and I think that streak continues here with a statement win over the Timberwolves.
