Kyle Kuzma led the team with 31 points, 12 rebounds and three assists, Jordan Poole added 18 points on four of 17 shooting off the bench while Tyus Jones chipped in with 13 points and 14 assists. As a team, the Wizards shot just 38 percent from the field and 17 of 38 from the 3-point line but they struggled to play defense from the start and were never in the contest after falling behind by 72-49 going into the halftime break. Deni Avdija had a quiet game of just five points on two of 12 shooting while Bilal Coulibaly scored just four points.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their last eight games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after blowing past the Clippers in a 129-107 win last night. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 31 points and eight assists on 12 of 19 shooting, Luguentz Dort added 19 points, Jalen Williams scored 18 points while Chet Holmgren chipped in with 17 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Thunder shot 55 percent from the field and 17 of 35 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 35 points in the first quarter and just kept their foot on the gas, pouring in 68 points in the second half to make it a blowout win at home.

The Wizards are still a little shorthanded with Isaiah Livers still out, while the Thunder are coming into this one with a full squad once again. This is a classic case of two teams headed in opposite directions with the Wizards losing games on a nightly basis, while the Thunder are starting to really heat up again. The line is certainly hefty, but the Thunder looked great in last night’s big win over the Clippers and they can certainly replicate that effort if they start well here.
