The Atlanta Hawks invade the Amway Center to do battle with the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.

The Atlanta Hawks have been in pretty good shape lately as they were riding a four-game win streak before getting stopped in their tracks by the Thunder in a 126-117 road loss on Monday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 29 points and six assists, Trae Young added 22 points with 11 assists, Bogdan Bogdanovic tallied 17 points off the bench while Jalen Johnson chipped in with 13 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Hawks shot just 37 percent from the field and 14 of 42 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense from the start and trailed in this one by as many as 19 points before they made a late run to keep the scores respectable. De’Andre Hunter had a rough night as he scored just eight points on two of 13 shooting while Young shot just five of 18 from the field.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic were aiming for a third straight victory before they got run over by the Mavericks in a 117-102 loss on Monday. Paolo Banchero led the team with 22 points and six assists, Moritz Wagner and Cole Anthony scored 19 points each while Franz Wagner chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Magic shot 47 percent from the field and eight of 27 from the 3-point line as they poured in 66 points in the first half to build a 15-point lead, only to go ice-cold and score just 36 points in the second half to allow the Mavericks to run them down with time to spare. The Magic had a rough night from the 3-point line and they didn’t do themselves any favors by turning the ball over 20 times.

The Hawks are again missing Wesley Matthews and Mouhamed Gueye, while the Magic are keeping their eyes on Gary Harris and Markelle Fultz for this one. The Hawks will be disappointed with their loss to the Thunder in their last outing as they were playing solid basketball during their four-game win streak. The Magic have been solid to start the season as they were enjoying the benefits of a fully healthy roster, but now the injuries are starting to pile up and I think it’ll start to cost them. The Hawks are the healthier team in better form and I think they get the job done in this spot.
