The Golden State Warriors and the Philadelphia 76ers duke it out at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night.
The Golden State Warriors have been in fine form as they’ve won 10 of their past 12 games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the Trail Blazers in a 104-94 home win on Wednesday. Stephen Curry led the team with 22 points on eight of 19 shooting, Jordan Poole added 20 points while Otto Porter Jr. chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Warriors shot just 39 percent from the field and 14 of 46 from the 3-point line as they scraped their way to a one-point lead at halftime, before taking over late in the third quarter to push the lead out to 16 points in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their past six games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Jazz in a 118-96 home loss on Thursday. Joel Embiid led the team with 19 points and nine rebounds, Seth Curry added 18 points with four assists while Tobias Harris chipped in with 17 points and seven rebounds. As a team, the 76ers shot 43 percent from the field and just six of 33 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start with 32 points in the first quarter, but they could barely find any rhythm on offense for the rest of the game as the Jazz clamped down defensively. Shake Milton scored just seven points on two of seven shooting, Furkan Korkmaz scored just four points on one of six shooting while Danny Green finished scoreless on zero of five shooting.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games against a team with a winning record and 23-7-1 ATS in their last 31 games overall. The 76ers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record, 0-6 ATS in their last six home games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the under is 15-6 in the last 21 meetings overall, the Warriors are 3-11 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Philadelphia and the Warriors are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The 76ers were starting to heat up before getting stopped by the Jazz on Thursday, but they are just 0-6 ATS in their last six home games, so it’s hard to trust them in this one. The Warriors have been in terrific form, they just took down the Trail Blazers without too much trouble and they are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall. I wouldn’t be shocked if the 76ers get the win here, but I’m sticking with the Warriors with the line so short.
