Phoenix Suns vs Miami Heat Prediction 1-5-24 NBA Picks

The Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns duke it out at the Footprint Center on Friday night. Here’s a Heat vs Suns Prediction.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after blowing past the Lakers in a 110-96 road win on Wednesday. Tyler Herro led the team with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists, Jaime Jacquez Jr added 16 points with eight assists while Nikola Jovic and Bam Adebayo scored 15 points each. As a team, the Heat shot 44 percent from the field and 16 of 42 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they held the Lakers to just 18 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they exploded for 38 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout win in the end.

Phoenix Suns

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns were on a nice run as they had reeled off four straight wins before getting stopped in their tracks by the Clippers in a 131-122 loss on Wednesday. Devin Booker led the team with 35 points and six assists on 11 of 15 shooting, Bradley Beal added 21 points while Eric Gordon chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Suns shot 53 percent from the field and 15 of 35 from the 3-point line, but they never really gave themselves a chance in this one after allowing the Clippers to pour in 70 points in the first half. The Suns trailed in this one by as many as 23 points before they made a late run to keep the margin within single digits.

Heat vs Suns Prediction

The Heat are still shorthanded with Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin both out, while the Suns are keeping eyes on Eric Gordon and Kevin Durant who are both listed as questionable. The Heat have continued to tally up the wins despite constantly dealing with injuries and they looked great in their big upset win over the Lakers on Wednesday thanks to another big game from Herro. The Suns were starting to look good with four wins in a row before they got routed by the Clippers and unless Durant is able to return for this game, I can’t help but see another defeat happening. The Heat are still missing key players, but they’ve shown all season that they’re dangerous as underdogs and I think we’re going to see them win this one by single digits.
