Phoenix Suns vs Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction 4-28-24 Picks

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns duke it out in NBA playoffs Game 4 at the Footprint Center on Sunday night. Here’s a Minnesota Timberwolves vs Phoenix Suns Prediction.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be aiming to complete the series sweep after making light work of the Suns in a 126-109 road win in Game 3 on Friday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 36 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Rudy Gobert added 19 points with 14 rebounds while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 18 points and 13 rebounds. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 49 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 34 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they dominated the third quarter by 36-20 to lead by as many as 24 points at one stage.

Phoenix Suns

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns are just hoping to stave off elimination now after getting thrashed by the Timberwolves in an ugly defeat on Friday. Bradley Beal led the team with 28 points on 10 of 19 shooting, Kevin Durant added 25 points with five assists while Devin Booker chipped in with 23 points and eight assists. As a team, the Suns shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 28 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Timberwolves early on, only to get completely run off the floor in the third quarter where they just had no answer for the Timberwolves’ Edwards. The Suns didn’t get enough support from their bench players and Royce O’Neale finished scoreless on zero of five shooting.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Phoenix Suns Prediction

The Timberwolves are still missing Jaylen Clark, while the Suns are keeping an eye on Grayson Allen, who is questionable with an ankle sprain. The Timberwolves clearly hold all the momentum in the series, and they would be forgiven if they looked to the second round. However, we know that the Suns will be hoping to fight off a sweep here, so who knows what we’re going to see. I might be tempted to take the Suns if we were getting more free points, but with the line so short, I’ll stick with the Timberwolves to complete the job in this one.
