Phoenix Suns vs Sacramento Kings NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 4/15/21

The Phoenix Suns play host to the Sacramento Kings at the PHX Arena on Thursday night.

The Sacramento Kings have been in terrible shape lately as they’re currently riding an eight-game slide after falling short against the Wizards in a 123-111 home loss last night. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 33 points, six assists and five steals, Buddy Hield added 19 points while Harrison Barnes chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Kings shot 46 percent from the field and nine of 27 from the 3-point line, but once again, they really let themselves down on the defensive end as they were always playing from behind after allowing the Wizards to pour in 42 points in the first quarter. Tyrese Haliburton had a rough night as he scored just eight points on three of 13 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been on a tear lately as they’ve won 10 of their past 11 games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after making light work of the Heat in a 106-86 home win on Tuesday. DeAndre Ayton led the team with 19 points and 13 rebounds on eight of 10 shooting, Cameron Johnson added 15 points off the bench while Torrey Craig and Cameron Payne each scored 14 points. As a team, the Suns shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 42 from the 3-point line but this game was all about their defense as they held the Heat to just 16 points in the second quarter to lead at halftime, before holding them to just 14 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout. Devin Booker scored just 12 points on four of 16 shooting while Chris Paul scored just five points on two of seven shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. The Suns are 26-10 ATS in their last 36 home games and 43-19 ATS in their last 62 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall and the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Phoenix.

The Kings have yet to win a game this month as they’re on an eight-game losing streak and they’re playing on zero days’ rest, so I don’t like their chances who just blew out the Heat by 20 points despite Booker and Paul having bad shooting nights. The Kings are also 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, so I’m taking the Suns all the way in this spot.
