The San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns collide at the Footprint Center on Monday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been heating up lately as they will be gunning for a season-high fifth straight victory after outlasting the red-hot Warriors in a 112-107 road win on Saturday. Derrick White led the team with 25 points on eight of 16 shooting, Dejounte Murray added 23 points with 12 rebounds and seven assists while Lonnie Walker chipped in with 21 points. as a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 35 from the 3-point line as they squandered a 22-point lead and looked to be in deep trouble after the Warriors stole the lead and all the momentum. However, the Spurs turned the momentum with one possession as White drained a pivotal 3-pointer on an offensive rebound from a miss free throw to reclaim the lead and escape with the win.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns are coming into this game looking to bounce back after having their 18-game win streak halted by the Warriors in a 118-96 road loss on Friday. DeAndre Ayton led the team with 23 points on seven of 16 shooting, Chris Paul and Cam Johnson each scored 12 points while Jae Crowder chipped in with 11 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Suns shot just 38 percent from the field and eight of 22 from the 3-point line as they did well to keep it close in the first half, but there was no stopping them in the second half where they were outscored by 67-48.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600 and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a loss.

Head to head, the over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall and the Spurs are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Phoenix.

The Spurs were sleepwalking for a while there, but they’ve woken up with four straight wins and they will be full of confidence after taking down the red-hot Warriors on Saturday. The Suns just had their 18-game win streak halted by the Warriors in their last outing, so they will be eager to get back on the court and start another streak, but they will again be without Devin Booker who is dealing with that hamstring strain. I want to take the Suns to run away with it at home, but the Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and I think they can hang around long enough to get the cover in this spot.
