Luka Doncic racked up a triple-double in the first half and finished with 40 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the game, Kyrie Irving added 26 points on 11 of 16 shooting while Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and 22 of 49 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the depleted Jazz from the start and ran up the score to finish with their biggest win of the season.

Anfernee Simons led the team with 28 points, Shaedon Sharpe added 26 points with five assists while Duop Reath chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot just 41 percent from the field and 16 of 46 from the 3-point line as they kept the Warriors in check for most of the contest to lead by 11 points late in the third quarter, only to go ice-cold and score just six points in the final 3:42 to allow the Warriors off the hook in a close finish.

The Trail Blazers showed plenty of fight to hang with the Warriors in a close lose on Wednesday, but they been in terrible form and they could severely shorthanded, so I’ll happily take the Mavericks to get the win and cover on the road.
